What do we publish?
The burning question remains - what exactly do we publish if we aren’t genre-specific? The answer, you see, is simple. We publish what moves us, that which brings us to despair or dissolves us into laughter. If your story makes us cry, even better!
What About Publication Rights?
Blackbriar Review holds first publication rights for all accepted materials for three months after publication. Authors agree to not publish, nor authorize the publication of, their work elsewhere for three months following its publication at Blackbriar Review.
Additionally, Blackbriar retains print rights to works for future anthologies. If selected for a “Best of” anthology, the author will be entitled to two author copies.
For all reprints, we ask for acknowledgement that Blackbriar Review published it first.
Authors retain the right to remove their work from Blackbriar Review after the initial three month publication period. We will always oblige.
